Stare Miasto

Always Moving. Always Loud.

event 2 upcoming events here

Stare Miasto is the part of Poznań that other Poznanians complain about and visit anyway. The Old Market Square is gorgeous and full of tourists; the side streets are gorgeous and full of locals; the line between the two is about three metres and a kebab stand. This is where the city's noise lives — and that noise is the point.

Students fill the cafés between lectures at UAM. Bands set up in the courtyards on summer nights. The bell tower goats at noon still draw a crowd. Half the bars are old, half are new, and the good ones don't care which half they're in.

If the quiz brought you here, you don't mind crowds, and you actually like that things are happening even when you didn't plan them. Stare Miasto rewards spontaneity — you show up, something's on, you stay.
