"Free things to do in Poznań" — googled by every student before payday and every tourist after the third night of buying rounds. The first results are usually outdated listicles ("Visit the Old Market! Walk along the Warta!") that have been the same since 2018. This is not that.
DetectConnect tracks real free events happening *this week* in Poznań. Events organized by actual people (mostly students and youth NGOs), not municipality flyers. Most happen in the four central districts — Jeżyce, Wilda, Łazarz, Stare Miasto — and most are designed for the 18-30 crowd, although nobody's checking at the door.
What "free" actually means here: zero entry cost, zero hidden minimums, zero "free entry before 11pm" sleights of hand. The events are funded by the EU's regional development program and exist because Poznań wants its young people to have things to do that don't drain their account.
